A New Jersey mechanic has a new pet after he helped rescue a kitten that was trapped inside a customer’s car.
Kyle Fitzgerald says that a customer came in to Paul’s Garage in Scotch Plains and said that he heard meowing coming from somewhere inside the car. The mechanic jumped in to action and found a 7-week-old kitten inside.
“I was able to pull her out and get her into my arms and that was the happiest part,” says Fitzgerald. “Now there’s a new member of the family.”
The kitten has been named “Hell Cat” after the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, the car the kitten was pulled out of.
Fitzgerald says that she has been taken to the vet and is in good condition.
