A ceremony was held at McGuire Air Force Base Monday to honor troops recently home from Iraq.
After six months in Iraq, members of the 108th Security Forces Squadron were honored. However, members they say the greatest honor is being reunited with their families.
Senior Airman Heyward Wiggins says he became a father for a second time while serving overseas.
? ? It was really rough, my roommate helped me out a lot,? Wiggins says.
The squadron?s mission was described as dangerous, but all 62 members made it home. The group worked side by side with Iraqis to secure their air bases.
Some airmen from McGuire will be deployed again later this year. Those recently returning home do not know if they?ll be among those called to duty.
