Mayor Harry Robbins is giving people one last shot at behaving because the social distancing that was seen at Lake Horicon Park Monday was the exact opposite of what took place Saturday, according to Lakehurst Police Chief Matthew Kline.
“It appeared that there was a mass influx of people here at the lake, barbecuing, hanging out on the beach, our officers issued some warnings, advised them of the social gathering executive orders broke up the gatherings, they came back in an hour, same thing, mass gatherings,” says Chief Kline.

Unlike state and county parks, Lakehurst police can't patrol the parking lots full time, there just isn't the staff available. The park will remain open unless things get out of hand.
