(03/03/06) BRANCHBURG ? Firefighters are on the scene of a massive fire that broke out Friday at Bradco Roofing Supply Company in Branchburg.
High winds are making it difficult for firefighters trying to bring the flames under control. Fifteen employees were in the building when the incident began, but all of them were able to make it safely out of the facility. A manager for Bradco says the fire spread quickly following the activation of the building?s alarm system.
The manager also says he witnessed explosions at the facility as the fire spread. He believes propane tanks on the company?s forklifts caused the blasts. Parts of the building, which measures approximately 35,000 to 40,000 square feet, have collapsed.
