The New Jersey Office of the Attorney General is investigating a fatal police-involved shooting. A source told News 12 New Jersey that the incident may have started because of a domestic dispute.
The office of the attorney general says officers from the Manchester Township Police Department were called to a home on Elizabeth Avenue Tuesday around 8:30 p.m.
Moments after, two officers shot and killed a man. Specifics surrounding the shooting were not immediately made available.
Officials say a gun was picked up near the man who was shot. His identity has not been released yet.
Under state law, the office of the Attorney General is required to investigate all police interactions that involve a person’s death.
