A man pleaded not guilty this morning in the shooting death of his girlfriend's toddler son in a Newark apartment Friday.
A public defender representing 27-year-old Wakir Bryant entered the plea on his behalf in court in Newark today.
Bryant faces aggravated manslaughter charges in the death of 2-year-old Mikhy Robison.
Prosecutors said Bryant drove Robinson and the child's mother to a nearby hospital, where the baby was pronounced dead. He was arrested later that night.
Investigators have not detailed what they believe led to the shooting.
