Police are investigating another shooting in Newark.
Officials say the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday near Clinton and Seymour avenues. They say a driver was shot at least once, sending his car out of control. Police say the car hit two teens and a fence of a nearby home.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead when emergency crews arrived on the scene. Police say it's not known if the man died from the gunshot wound or the crash.
Lamont Chambers, 17, and his friend suffered non-life threatening injuries. There is no word on the identity of the driver.
Governor Corzine (D-NJ) is expected to join Newark Mayor Cory Booker Thursday to announce new measures to combat gun trafficking and gun violence.
