The man who arranged to have his wife killed in Boonton was sentenced Thursday to life in prison.
Kashif Parvaiz, 29, was convicted on all charges for plotting with his mistress to shoot and kill his wife. Parvaiz's girlfriend, Antoinette Stephen, open fired on him and his wife while they were on a walk with their son. She made sure she hit Parvaiz so that it would look like a random crime. Parvaiz's wife, Nazish Noorani, died.
Stephen, who testified against Parvaiz, also pleaded guilty to murder and other charges.
Parvaiz also received seven years for child endangerment and three years for hindering apprehension. The endangerment and hindering sentences are to be served consecutively.
There's no word on whether an appeal will be filed.
