With Valentine's Day this Friday, it's time to show New Jersey's flower farms some love.
The greenhouse at Moonshot Farm is geothermally heated, using the heat from the earth and the sun to maintain a temperature of 60 degrees.
Moonshot Farm is one of the only cut flower farms with an abundance of blooms in the middle of February. After California, New Jersey is the second largest state for cut flower production.
Flowers grown locally are fresher, last longer, and may have fewer pesticides. There's a wide variety of flowers available, with tulips being a popular option.
