Several Fair Lawn businesses destroyed in a strip mall fire last year will be reopening in new locations.

Zadie’s Bakery will soon reopen in the Fair Promenade just off Route 208. One of the owners tells News 12 that they should have a grand reopening in the next two or three months.

Flynn’s Barber Shop is now operating on River Road. Flynn’s decided to relocate after the owner of the old location told them he wasn’t rebuilding.

“This was kind of a temporary property spot for us and then we decided that since he’s not going to rebuild over there, we’re just going to stay here long-term,” says Shea Flynn, of Flynn’s Barker Shop.

The Roadhouse Restaurant has since relocated to Morlot Avenue.

The Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce says that all of the businesses are cornerstones of the community.

The fire started in the early-morning hours of July 26, 2024. Officials say it began in the Green Dragon Chinese restaurant and then spread throughout the strip mall. No one was hurt.
