You've heard of the Salem Witch Trials of Massachusetts, but how about the legend of Mary Moore in Middlesex County.
Moore was arrested and charged with being a witch in 1731, eventually being burned at the stake and allegedly buried at the old St. James Episcopal Church on Route 514 in Edison.
There is no headstone identifying Moore's grave, as it is believed the marker was removed by a teenage boy.
That boy was allegedly fatally struck by a car the very next day. His brother reportedly smashed the evidence upon discovering it after his brother's death.
