Large fire damages 3 homes in Paterson, at least 45 people displaced

A large fire in Paterson damaged at least three row homes early Wednesday morning.
The fire broke out in an apartment building on Elm Street sometime after 3 a.m. Crews from Paterson and neighboring towns responded to assist firefighters in bringing the blaze under control.
Elm Street is a primarily residential street, consisting of two and three-story residential buildings. The Red Cross says at least 45 people from 10 units have been displaced.
Mayor Andre Sayegh says one adult needed to be treated for smoke inhalation.
There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
