Councilwoman Corazon Pineda Isaac says the time has come to change the system of policing. The Democratic majority leader is proposing legislation that would demand all Yonkers police officers wear body cameras.

Body of lost kayaker found near Sandy Hook: The body of a kayaker who went missing last week in the Navesink River has been found in Sandy Hook, according to officials. Police say that Nadem Aksov went missing Thursday night while fishing with a friend. His body was found on Monday. Aksov’s family has set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for his funeral.

Islip protesters say it's time to shift focus toward the future with police reforms: As George Floyd was laid to rest Tuesday, some Long Island protesters aimed to make sure he didn't die in vain. Protesters in Islip Tuesday night say it is time to shift the focus from what happened in the past to what needs to happen in the future.Those in attendance say there needs to be change to the way police departments work, especially in minority communities. They say they're watching what's happening at the state level closely regarding new legislation.

New lawn care app becomes available in greater Bridgeport area: A new app can help you find someone to mow your lawn as the weather gets hotter and it's more humid out. Gene Caballero, from Tennessee, started Green Pal eight years ago. The company now has 16,000 certified lawn care professionals across the U.S. The Green Pal app is now available in the greater Bridgeport area.

Elected officials add their voices to growing cry for justice as protests continue: Rallies continued to make their way around the city Tuesday as elected officials added their voices to the growing cries for justice for people of color. Protesters gathered outside Brooklyn Borough Hall with signs. For over an hour, elected officials, religious leaders and activists called for major police reform--saying people of color have suffered for far too long.
