'Game of Thrones' spinoff on hold due to writers' strike

Best-selling author George R. R. Martin says he's showing support for the nationwide writers’ strike. The Bayonne native was inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame a few years ago. His upcoming “Game of Thrones" spin off,” “A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight” will join the slew of productions being put on hold because of the strike.
"I am not in L.A., so I cannot walk a picket line as I did in 1988, but I want to go on the record with my full and complete and unequivocal support of my Guild,” Martin announced in a blog post on Monday.
