A popular local coffee company down at the Jersey Shore is giving back today, and won't make a single penny in profits.
Today is Rook Coffee's First Ever Rook Gives event.
Three local organizations, The Ashley Lauren Foundation, the Friends of Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center and the Tigger House Foundation, will all receive 100 percent of profits and donations from the first annual Rook Gives "Day of Giving."
Rook Coffee opened its first location nine years ago today, and now, there are 11 throughout Monmouth County.
Instead of waiting for gifts, Rook will contribute 100 percent of profits and donations to the three organizations.
In its nine years, Rook Coffee has donated over $1 million to local charities and organizations.
