Jersey Proud: Six NJ schools to attend American Rocketry Challenge finals

Only 100 schools nationwide get the distinction.

NASA’s Artemis II mission is capturing the attention of the world.

The rocketry club at Thomas Edison Energy Charter School in Somerset has been designing and launching rockets.

The club is one of six school clubs in New Jersey selected to head to the national finals for the American Rocketry Challenge in Virginia next month. Only 100 schools nationwide get the distinction.

Other New Jersey schools attending the event include Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Delbarton, Mountain Lakes Public Library Makerspace, South Brunswick High School and Cedar Creek High School in Egg Harbor City.
