Palisades Park has a police chief already. But for just one day, the department had a different one.

Young Braxton Moore was honored as “chief for a day” for the perseverance he has shown in overcoming some medical issues.

Moore had heart surgery and missed several weeks of school, but he was able to get caught up. He is now physically doing much better.

Palisades Park police gave him a uniform, gifts and the experience of living life as a police officer.
