A New Jersey man is pushing an airline beverage cart 300 miles from Newark Liberty International Airport to the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, to honor the victims of 9/11.
Paul Veneto, a retired United Airlines flight attendant, began his trek called “Paulie’s Push” on Monday. He is retracing the path of United Flight 93, which crashed in a field in Shanksville on September 11, 2001.
Veneto is expected to arrive at the memorial on September 11 after 30 days and nights of pushing the cart through multiple New Jersey towns and cities.
This is the third year in a row Veneto has undertaken the journey to honor the 9/11 flights. His previous pushes memorialized United Flights 175 and 77.
People can track Veneto’s 300-mile journey on his website as he makes his way across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Many have been turning out to cheer him on.
