A sunset ceremony was held in Sandy Hook this week. Family, friends and the Coast Guard honored a man and his wish.
Petty Officer Isaac Malphrus died two years ago in a drowning accident. He was based at Sandy Hook.  He had a wish before he died to build a fire pit on base - a place where guardsmen could come together and socialize.
That wish was honored this week when a pit was built in his memory.
Malphrus was from Ohio. His family flew in for this. His young son Finn was also in attendance.
The boy was only an infant when Malphrus passed. He'll grow up knowing his dad loved serving his country and wanted to do something special for his fellow guardsmen.
