Six New Jersey girls are headed to California to compete in the National Junior Olympics.
Donnell, Chyla, Jada, Elyanna, Nazeeha and Zahara all are young runners who attend KIPP Life Academy in Newark.
Coach Rilwan Adenarin says they have no training facility at their school, so they did laps around their gym and ran in the hallways to practice.
The team dominated the regionals in Pennsylvania earlier this month.
They are set to represent New Jersey in Sacramento next week at the Junior Olympics.
