Jackson Township police identified the body of the Old Bridge man whose kayak overturned in Ocean County waters on Monday.
Police identified the boater as 29-year-old John Pereira.
Police said they received a call just before 2:30 p.m. Saturday about a capsized boat on Prospertown Lake.
State police told News 12 that Pereira went missing shortly after.
Officials searched for Pereira on Saturday until it was suspended due to weather conditions and loss of daylight.
Pereira's body was discovered Sunday by rescue divers in the lake and was to Community Medical Center in Toms River.
