A nationwide Interpol operation nabbed 45 foreign fugitives who were on U.S. soil, with one of the arrests taking place in New Jersey.
The three-day operation, known as Project Red 2, targeted criminals from 22 countries wanted for serious crimes including homicide, drug trafficking and rape.
One of the fugitives, Marleny Rodriguez-DeLovo, of El Salvador, was arrested Tuesday in Elizabeth on organized crime charges.
