Drivers are noticing thinner traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike - a consequence, many say, of increased job losses.
Aside from normal rush-hour jams, cars have been breezing freely along the turnpike, and truckers' jobs have gotten easier.
The Turnpike Authority says traffic is down 3 percent from last year, including commercial trucks.
While traffic is down, however, turnpike receipts are up due to last year's toll increase.
