HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) -- The local westbound lanes on Interstate 80 in Hackensack have reopened nearly 12 hours after a crash shut down that section of highway.
The cleanup of a fuel spill following Thursday night's crash involving a tanker truck and car snarled Friday morning's commute.
The local and express lanes were closed while workers offloaded the fuel and righted the truck. In addition, express lanes on the east side of the highway also were closed. All lanes were reopened by 11:30 a.m. Friday.
The crash occurred Thursday night near Exit 65. Two people were taken to a hospital and are in stable condition.
