A couple accused of hoarding nearly 300 dogs inside their Howell home is now facing with 552 counts of animal cruelty.
The charges included 276 counts for providing inhumane living conditions and another 276 counts for failing to provide proper veterinary care.
Howell's Animal Control office delivered additional summonses to municipal hall for the couple on Friday. 
The couple received 200 summonses for failure to have dog licenses and 200 summonses for failure to give them rabies shots. Dogs in Howell must have both once they are 7 months old.
If found guilty on all counts, the couple could face substantial fines and penalties.
