Flames drove family members from their Hackettstown home and into the cold on Christmas.
Firefighters say the fire broke out around 11 a.m. on Barkers Mill Road. The homeowner says she?s grateful her children and animals made it out safe, but she?s worried about whether they will have to move from the badly damaged house.
Investigators believe the fire started in the chimney, caught items in the basement and spread. Officials are evaluating the structure?s safety.
