Historic Battleship New Jersey returns to Camden waterfront following weeks of repairs

After 12 weeks of repairs at the naval shipyard in Philadelphia, the historic 82-year-old ship returned to the Camden waterfront.

Battleship New Jersey came home on Thursday following weeks of extensive maintenance work.
After 12 weeks of repairs at the naval shipyard in Philadelphia, the historic 82-year-old ship returned to the Camden waterfront. The ship only moves once every couple of decades.
A $10 million refurbishment, including hull maintenance, re-sealing and re-painting, is now complete.
A welcome home party featuring food trucks, live music and carnival games was held Thursday morning.
