Hilltop City Youth Police Academy celebrates new graduates

During the program, the kids – ages 11 to 14 -- learned how to process crime scenes and conduct a motor vehicle stop. They also practiced unarmed self-defense.

Nearly 60 kids graduated from the Hilltop City Youth Police Academy in Summit on Monday.
During the program, the kids – ages 11 to 14 -- learned how to process crime scenes and conduct a motor vehicle stop. They also practiced unarmed self-defense.
Recruits also took part in a firearms simulator at Union County's police academy in Scotch Plains.
