After an evening of consequential flooding, the forecast for tonight into the first half of tomorrow is fairly quiet.
Hazy, hot and humid weather will be on tap for the next couple of days. Temperatures will feel like 100 degrees or more tomorrow and Thursday. In this type of tropical environment, thunderstorms can pop up. With yesterday's flooding still fresh on everyone's mind, some neighborhoods in Union County are only a thunderstorm away from serious flooding again.
Some model guidance does have showers and storms developing near some of the hardest hit neighborhoods late tomorrow evening, so the weather team will be watching the radars to prepare you for the possibility of more flooding.
The week looks very seasonal for July. Hot and humid with afternoon thunderstorms possibly developing. More rain is possible Thursday going into Friday. This weather system brings the potential for more unwanted rain for portions of New Jersey, but it will also bring relief when it passes.
The humidity will vanish for a day and the sun will shine down, giving us probably the best weather day of the summer.
