HEAT ALERT: New Jersey to see temperatures above 90 for the upcoming days

New Jersey will be seeing temperatures above 90 degrees through the rest of the week.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Dave Curren says this could be the longest stretch of 90-degree weather New Jersey has seen the whole summer.
WHAT’S NEXT: Temperatures will be above 90 degrees through at least Friday. A heat advisory is in effect for some areas of the state until 8 p.m. Wednesday. The News 12 Storm Watch Team is also tracking potential rain for the end of the week and into the weekend.
OVERNIGHT: Mainly clear skies. Overnight lows in the mid-70s.
WEDNESDAY: Hazy and hot with mostly sunny skies. Daytime highs around 94 degrees. Overnight lows around 75.
THURSDAY: Chance for some thunderstorms. Daytime highs around 95 degrees. Overnight lows around 75.
RIP CURRENT DANGER: High risk of rip currents are still an issue along Jersey Shore beaches this week. It's advised not to swim unless a lifeguard is on duty.
