The number of COVID-19 cases among children under the age of 18 is rising in New Jersey, according to the state Health Department.
The uptick comes as millions of students get ready to head back to school.

New data shows two weeks ago, nearly 6.6% of the more than 37,000 tests done on children have come back positive. Cases in children have been steadily rising since early July.
COVID-19 hospitalizations in New Jersey are also increasing -- the number surpassing 1,000 for the first time since May.
A new report from the CDC says unvaccinated people are 29 times more likely to be hospitalized.
