A 34-year-old man is behind bars in Bergen County after being accused of abusing a child.

Authorities say Elijah Holder of Hackensack physically assaulted a teenager on Tuesday, hitting him multiple times.

They did not say how Holder knew the victim.

Holder now faces assault and child abuse charges.
