Gov. Phil Murphy met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a virtual meeting on Tuesday.
It was part of Murphy’s role as the chairman of the National Governors Association. Several dozen governors from across the country took part in the event.
“One of the hallmarks of the National Governor’s Association is that we’re consistently able to find common ground in a world where common ground is hard to find,” Murphy said. “This is an explicit and important example of that.”
Republican Utah Gov. Spencer Cox also attended the meeting. He is the vice chair of the association. Cox says that he wants U.S. aid to Ukraine to continue.
