Gov. Phil Murphy is getting
support from New Jeseyans and lawmakers after his family was heckled and cursed
at while they were eating at a restaurant in Red Bank.
The governor talked about
the Saturday encounter, saying confrontations cannot be what New Jersey is
about during the coronavirus pandemic.
"I'm a big boy, thick
skin doesn't impact me at all, and I'd say the same for Tammy,” says Gov.
Murphy. “Our kids are not part of that."
State Police Colonel Pat
Callahan declined to comment on where the governor's state police security
detail was during the brief confrontation that was posted to social media.
