High tide: 7:21 p.m. (19:21), Height: 4 ft (1.22 m)
Below normal temps today. Hurricane Erin well off the coast but will bring high waves, rough surf, erosion and potential flooding.
Forecast:
Today will be overcast. Showers will mainly be passing. However, there is concern that later today into tonight that some of the rain could be downpours and lead to problems for the evening commute.
At the surface, a cold front is still nearby and brings areas, especially in South Jersey, a greater threat of seeing a few afternoon showers. They will be hit and miss variety and most areas in our viewership will remain dry. The persistent E/NE wind will bring the threat of minor tidal flooding to the typically prone area, mainly during high tide.
Hurricane Erin will have its greatest indirect impact on Thursday, and it will be mainly along the shore. It is definitely a force to watch!
