The governor says that all three eastbound lanes on I-80 will open on Saturday. The westbound lanes were already reopened last week, 11 days ahead of schedule.

“I am thrilled to see all lanes of I-80 open safely this weekend so we can ensure that New Jerseyans can get to where they need to go efficiently and safely,” Murphy wrote in a statement.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation says that before the reopening, the eastbound lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. Saturday to complete final paving and striping. The detours will be at Exit 34/Wharton/Dover/Sparta.
