The New Jersey Department of Transportation says that all three westbound lanes on Interstate 80 in Wharton are set to open this weekend. This is 11 days ahead of schedule.
The highway has been closed for months while crews make sinkhole repairs.

The DOT says that all westbound lanes will be closed Friday night for paving and restriping. They are expected to reopen Saturday morning.
Two eastbound lanes have already reopened. The rest are expected to reopen by June 25.
