General Motors is taking steps toward downsizing, which will mean cut backs in New Jersey.
Out of 132 dealerships in the Garden State, 60 are expected to close. Those closures will likely put 4,000 workers out of a job.
New Jersey is expected to lose a considerable amount in taxes due to the coming closures.
Altogether, 2,600 dealerships are expected to close nationwide. GM declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy Monday.
