Friends and family of several veterans gathered at Bradley international Airport this weekend cheering as they headed to their "Honor Flight”.
Sixty-five vets, their guests went to Washington and visited the memorials and monuments commemorating their service.
On the agenda were stops at Arlington National Cemetery, plus the Vietnam, Korean, and World War II memorials.
Honor Flights is a nonprofit that flies the vets out.
The group picks up the tab several times a year from various airports.
