A Livingston High School student is doing his part to make New Jersey proud.

Veer Agarwal is waging a crusade against hunger. He founded a food rescue club at the school that gets surplus food from restaurants and grocery stores and gives to food pantries.

Agarwal’s program has since expanded to Millburn, Jersey City, Whippany, Morristown and Edison.

He has a team of 30 high school students who have made over 200 food rescues. The nonprofit Table to Table helps coordinate the deliveries.

More information about the program can be found HERE.
