Friday’s nor’easter continues to leave people in the dark
About 100,000 people across New Jersey are still without power two days after Friday's powerful nor'easter.
There are about 200 poles down statewide, and 1,000 spans of wires are also down as of Sunday afternoon.
JCP&L says it is working to get the power back on.  The utility company says Hunterdon, southern Morris, Somerset, Union and Warren counties should expect the power to return by Tuesday. Residents in northern Morris County and Sussex County should expect it to be back on by Wednesday.
In Rockaway, downed trees damaged cars and caused accidents on the road.
Residents in Morris County are trying their best to beat the cold with fires, others are opting to stay in a nearby hotel.
The Denville Hampton Inn says it is fully booked through Thursday.
