Security is being stepped-up today at John F. Kennedy High School in Paterson following the discovery of three firearms on campus after a fight last week.
All students entering campus on Monday are being subjected to security screenings.
School officials confirmed that fight on the first floor involving several students sent the campus into a lockdown around 11 a.m. Friday.
During a search after the fight, one gun was allegedly recovered.
A shelter-in-place order was issued around 1 p.m., and security had to prevent a student who was outside the school from entering.
That student was allegedly seen across the street from the school with another man a short time later, and police allegedly recovered a gun on each of them after a search.
