A former Westfield teacher who pleaded guilty to possessing child sexual abuse materials has been sentenced to 105 months in prison, New Jersey District Attorney Robert Frazer announced on Thursday.
Matthew Ozol, of Jersey City, was first taken into custody after law enforcement executed a search warrant at his home in Aug. 2025.
A review of his electronics found encrypted messaging apps containing conversations dating back to 2022 wherein he expressed a desire to sexually abuse children.
One of the group chats the 41-year-old belonged to was entitled “Baby Rapist”, according to court documents.
More than 100 images and 75 videos, many of which showed the abuse of infants and toddlers, were recovered from his devices.
Prosecutors say Ozol will be subject to 10 years of supervised release and required to pay $10,000 to one of his victims.
