New Jersey congressman Donald Norcross confirmed that suspicious mail was sent his way for the second time this month.
According to a press release, an envelope containing an unknown substance was delivered to his office Thursday in Washington D.C. Capitol police determined the substance was not hazardous.
“I'm relieved that my staff are okay, and angry they had this scare,” Norcross stated. “Public service shouldn't require frequently experiencing violent threats…”
The postal service intercepted a similar suspicious envelope addressed to his Cherry Hill office on Oct. 19.
This is the latest in an ongoing trend of suspicious mail being directed toward politicians across the tri-state area.
So far, none of the deliveries have tested positive for hazardous substances.
