Friends and family are remembering a high school soccer star from New Jersey tragically killed in a car crash over the weekend in Florida.
According to officials, 19-year-old Anatalia Pena was killed in the crash Sunday in Miami Shores.
Pena was heading back to school at Barry University, where she was entering her sophomore year at the school.
Pena was a 2018 graduate of Bloomfield High School and a standout soccer player on the team. The former co-captain scored 42 goals and earned 17 assists as part of the team.
Her former coach and teammates are remembering her as a joyful and happy person.
Information on Pena’s funeral arrangements were not immediately available.
