May is Jewish American Heritage Month – a time meant to recognize the generations of Jewish Americans and their contributions to history, culture and society.
One such American is former Highland Park Mayor Meryl Frank. She has been appointed to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, and is a former ambassador to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
Frank most recently wrote a new book called “Unearthed,” which explores her family’s history during the Holocaust.
