Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to drench New Jersey for the next several days.
A flash flood watch is in effect into Friday evening for Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Ocean, Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington, Cumberland, Cape May and Atlantic counties.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that thunderstorms were already developing in southern New Jersey. Curren says that the southeastern part of the state could see severe storms into the overnight hours.
Friday is expected to see heavy rain in the morning, which should clear by the afternoon. Temperatures should reach the low-80s.
Saturday is also expected to see rain, mostly in the western portion of the state. The rain is expected to clear by the afternoon.
Sunday and Monday may also see several rain showers with slightly cooler temperatures. The rest of next week should see clearer weather.
