After a two day recovery mission, the bodies three of New Jersey men were discovered off the Florida coast. Four Westfield men, including Kevin Coughlin, 51, John Walsweer, 38, and Scott Stanley, 55, were on their annual diving trip in Key Largo. Investigators in Florida say the men were exploring a popular dive site called Spiegel Grove, an artificial reef that formed after the USS Spiegel Grove sank in Key Largo in 2002. Investigators say it is not clear how this dive, at the same site they had dove earlier in the week, turned tragic but they think somehow the men may have gotten lost in the wreck 135-feet down. Florida investigators say the fourth diver and sole survivor, Howard Spialter, was also lost in the wreck but managed to make it to the surface. The families of the three victims say they are shocked and saddened by such a tragedy.
