Israeli first responders participating in an ongoing exchange program will be training at the Bergen County Fire Academy this week.
The group consists of 10 firefighters, two police officers and a paramedic from northern Israel. At the academy, the responders will utilize training techniques and facilities unavailable overseas.
The exchange program is run through the UJA of Northern New Jersey. The program sent New Jersey first responders to Israel last year for anti-terrorism training.
