Police say a volunteer firefighter and football coach videotaped people as they used the bathroom in his northern New Jersey home during a pool party.
The Record newspaper reports 45-year-old Mitchell Morreale was charged Tuesday with invasion of privacy. Lyndhurst Police Capt. John Valente says four female teenagers reported the videotaping Monday night.
Valente says one of the teens was using Morreale's bathroom Friday during a pool party with friends, including Morreale's 19-year-old son. She noticed a light in a closet that turned out to be a recording device.
Valente says Morreale recorded himself setting up the device. Detectives confiscated the device and computer equipment.
The fire captain has been suspended by the Lyndhurst Fire Department pending the outcome of the case.
It's unclear if he has an attorney.
